Status Yellow warning issued with risk of spot flooding and thunderstorms
Met Éireann has described the forthcoming weather as ‘quite unsettled’ with more rain on the way.

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow rain warning for two counties as heavy rain and possible thunderstorms are expected.
The alert covers Cork and Kerry and is valid from 10am on Saturday until 10am on Sunday.
Possible impacts include spot flooding, poor visibility and difficult travel conditions.
It will be mostly cloudy this morning, with light rain or drizzle, as temperatures range between 17 and 21C. Friday will slowly brighten up throughout the day, with a mix of sunshine and showers.
Tonight looks likely to be mostly cloudy with temperatures dropping to 10 and 14C. Most areas will remain dry, but there might be a few showers overnight, with some rain expected in the southwest towards Saturday morning.
Met Éireann forecaster Andrew Doran-Sherlock said: "Our weather is going to turn generally unsettled through tomorrow with low pressure approaching.”
"Low pressure will then continue to dominate our weather out to midweek next week. But there’ll still be some good dry intervals today through it’s mostly cloudy at the moment with little light rain and drizzle,” he added.

The weekend will start off dry tomorrow morning, with cloudy skies and barely any sunny spells.
Meanwhile, showery outbreaks of rain will continue to develop in the southwest through Saturday morning.
The rain will slowly extend over most of Munster in the afternoon and later into south Leinster and south Connacht, bringing the risk of spot flooding.
It will be drier elsewhere, with a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers. Some of the showers might turn heavy, with possible isolated thunderstorms.

Temperatures will range between 16 and 21C on Saturday, remaining the coolest in the southwest, with strong winds expected on southern coasts.
Showery outbreaks of rain will continue tomorrow night, slowly extending to the north over much of the country and reaching northern areas towards Sunday morning.

The “rather unsettled” weather will continue into next week, with frequent showers and rain, Met Éireann has said.
